When will this portion of the review be offered?

Most of Sunday, July 28th will be taken up by running Emergency Medicine cases. The in-person didactic material will be covered Sunday morning and for a short segment on Friday (July 25th).

Can I attend and pay for just this portion of the 3-day CCHPBC board exam review?

If you are interested in taking portions of the course, please contact us via email. Each section costs $200 CAN.

How much will the 3-day course cost?

The review will cost $500 CAN - this price will include all 3 days

What topics will be reviewed in the emergency medicine portion?
-
We will first briefly review the dosages, indications, and contraindications of the required interventions in the emergency medical kit. These interventions can be found here.

The majority of the review will be us evaluating you on your emergency medicine diagnostic, triage, and therapeutic skills. We will present you with cases, observe how you manage them, and provide feedback to help you correct any weak areas. Many of the conditions to be covered will be found here.

Answering questions about cases in front of other people makes me nervous...

The atmosphere will be friendly and supportive, and we know there's a lot of learning value in responding to scenarios

The more you practice with these scenarios, the more comfortable you will be when you encounter them in a board exam. More comfort --> better thinking on your feet.

This is a very efficient way to make sure you've been studying effectively thus far. As well, if you get something wrong in a low-stakes environment, odds are you won't get it wrong again when it really matters.
