Differential Diagnosis Review
Questions and Answers:
When will this portion of the review be offered?
To be scheduled.
Can I attend and pay for just this portion of the 3-day CNPBC board exam review?
Please email us if you're interested in taking portions of the 3-day course. Each section costs $200 CAN.
How much will the 3-day course cost?
The review will cost $500 CAN - this price will include all 3 days
What topics will be reviewed in the differential diagnosis portion?
There will be a wide range of topics covered, mostly addressing common and urgent conditions that would typically be seen in a general practice
I've learned literally years worth of biomedical and diagnostic information on a wide range of diseases. What more can you do in a day and a half?
We will shift how you look at diagnosis - there will be a short didactic portion where key laboratory, imaging, and procedural (i.e. scopes, ECGs) diagnostic methods are discussed. We'll get you to re-organize your disease knowledge with a diagnostics focus in mind
Next we will discuss common complaints and work on methods for creating robust differentials
The remainder of the review will be spent working through cases in a format similar to what you'll see during the board exams
Is it just going to be 8 hours of lectures and powerpoints?
Nope. A minority of the information delivery will be didactic, but you will be presented with cases and asked to demonstrate your knowledge. It will be a friendly, low-pressure environment that will offer you a wealth of useful feedback.
Most importantly, the review will demonstrate effective ways of re-structuring your existing knowledge to improve clinical relevance.
